Hugo Kok, Architect, M.Arch.

Hugo Kok (1980, Hoofddorp, NL) graduated in Architecture at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam. During his studies at the Academy (2001-2006) he worked as an assistant designer at MVSA Architects in Amsterdam and the Government Building Agency in The Hague. Before the Academy he studied Architectural and Construction engineering (1997-2001) at the University of Professional Education in The Hague.

After his studies he worked for 8 years as a project Architect for VMX Architects in Amsterdam (2006-2014). He was responsible for projects such as the Ex-Casa400 housing project in Amsterdam, the GA Terminal at Schiphol Airport and the MH Practice school in Hoogvliet. He completed these projects from the start (selection or competition) till completion. Hugo Kok is registered with the Dutch Architects Register.

After gaining work experience at several leading Dutch design firms Hugo Kok opened his own architectural office Kok Harleman in 2014 and continued with Hugo Kok Architect in 2022. The office works on various projects such as private homes, apartment buildings, the re-use and transformation of listed monuments, multifunctional office buildings and circular housing developments. Hugo Kok lives in Haarlem and works in Amsterdam.
